POSITION TITLE:  Logistics Manager 

LOCATION: Houston, TX 

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas industry. Our client, a petrochemicals facility is looking to hire a Logistics Manager on a direct hire basis. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Commercial Negotiation and Management of Marine and Terminal Contracts
  • Operations Management of Supply Chain Vendors from Plant Loading to Customer delivery
  • Administrative oversight of business processes such as Invoice Payment and Import/Export  Documentation
  • Manage all Ocean freight contracts and commercial operations of methanol tankers on time charter or spot charter
  • Assist production on logistics issues such as Iso containers and contacts for shipping.
  • Generate invoices for sales to Global customers, European agents and U.S. agents
  • Keep current on European and US Operations for both inventory and internal knowledge.
  • Coordinate shipping plan based around probable and possible production levels and probable and possible sales volumes in all regions.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent experience.
  • Marine and Terminal experience is required 
  • Knowledge of Chemical and clean product tanker chartering and markets
  • Knowledge of commodity chemical industry logistics and operations.
  • Knowledge of US and European terminal operations, plus barge, rail and truck operations
