Amec Foster Wheeler is recruiting a Materials Coordinator to join our team in Manila. The project will run over a five-year period with a possible two-year extension. Amec Foster Wheeler has many years of experience in carrying such projects all over the world and it is our intention to bring our world class systems to this project.

The Materials Co-ordinator will work with user departments and the supply chain function to maintain all materials databases to provide inputs for the project reporting tools to ensure that all required materials, services and spares are ordered and delivered as required. This is an end to end rejuvenation scope and as such, will involve interfacing with other disciplines like, planning, construction, procurement, HVEC and client operations.
You will be expected to work in a multidiscipline team environment where the overall success of the project is paramount. Amec Foster Wheeler is looking at a right first time approach and as such, we are looking for candidates who can rise to a challenge and are interested in being part of an innovative and driven team.
  • Implement materials management processes in line with project procedures, strategies and HSSE plans
  • Act as a liaison between the buyers and line focal points to prioritize/schedule the PR/POs according to status list of outstanding orders in the WMS against required on-site dates
  • Monitor the flow of materials from requisition to installation to ensure all materials management activities are completed for scheduled shipment of materials to relevant sites
  • Analyse material progress reports, highlighting any discrepancies (shortage, damaged, etc) to relevant parties and develop early mitigation plans for late deliveries of critical and long lead items
  • Expedite critical items and intervene according to instructions of the focal point and technical buyers and coordinate with logistics department on receipt and release for shipping
  • Act as the materials management system SME and provide user training, functional & business support for materials system users
  • Resolve materials data management and administrative issues and maintain the system change request process by liaison with the project, WMS business & BSP SAP configuration teams
  • Liaise with the RO Team Leader / Project Engineer to agree the schedule for issue of workpack materials deliverables
  • Formal qualification in Business Management and Membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or national equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the purchasing, expediting, handling, storing and preservation of oil and gas project materials and equipment
  • Experienced in the control and management of materials from receipt at warehouse through to distribution to required site location
  • Good working knowledge of material systems, process controls, warehousing and logistics within the oil and gas industry
  • Proficient in the use of standard desk top software, data compilation and manipulation and competent in maintaining and updating project reports accordingly
  • Ability to work in a matrix-type organizational environment
  • Ability to influence and motivate people to perform
  • Exhibit good data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge on computerized support systems (SAP)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deliver quality results on time
  • Worked in an EPC environment
  • Working knowledge of Shell’s DEPs
